The Circle

I decided to review the reality TV show series called "The Circle".
It's a reality TV show series where people can only communicate through a specially created voice-activated social media platform called The Circle which is shown on Channel 4.
The series started with 8 people and the main aim of the series is to try and build rapport and relationships in a bid to become the most popular person in The Circle.
Every so often, players have to rate each other based upon how popular they think the players are. The top two rated players in each ratings are made "influencers" and they have the power to choose one player to block (eliminate) from The Circle. This is what happens most of the time, however along the series, there have been twists and turns with different situations arising, such as instead of two players becoming influencers, for example in one ratings, the least rated player was automatically blocked (eliminated) from The Circle without any decisions being made by Circle influencers.
Players are allowed to either play as their authentic selves or they have the choice to play as a "catfish" character which could mean changing the gender they play or lowering their age.
Lighting is very high key and there are cameras situated at every possible angle of the players' flats in order to capture every moment.
I have really enjoyed the series and the main good points are:
- The players have great personalities that really shine through as they play The Circle
- Public have been more involved since series one
- It's very interactive
- It's relatable
- Every episode, apart from a few, ends on a cliffhanger enticing viewers to continue watching the next day
