L3 FILM & TELEVISION

To summarise all of the feedback I received; this is listed below as follows:

 

Positive

• Conceptual idea was good

• Use of voice over was good and well received

• Good choice of music

• Good use of different sound effects

Constructive critiscm/things to improve

• Add more Foley sounds to enhance the sound design

• Shoot more angles / shots of the Monopoly® board (e.g. close up shots of rolling the dice)

• Dialogue / voice over was loud 

  • This was intentional as I wanted to highlight that this was a monologue and was not the character speaking on set​

• Contrapuntal music didn't really work​

  • The music was intended to be parallel to match the feelings of the character Tom as in the film, he is wanted by the police hence the tense music. Perhaps, this effect did not shine through enough as one audience member highlighted it was the opposite. Next time, I will make it more obvious that the music is parallel by filming more close up shots and extreme close up shots.​
