Logline ideas

  • An action drama set in the south of England in the future about a young spy with a troubled past trying to be the best.

  • A young secret service agent finds the secret of immortality but is thrown off course by an unmissable opportunity.

  • A lawyer discovers an invisible car that allows him to travel to alternate dimensions into the future of 2045; however this leads him to inadvertently creating a time paradox and at risk of losing his job.

  • A private detective has one day to stop the ambush that threatens the imminent convoy, events are displaced by a raging thunderstorm set to wipe humanity off the face of the earth.

  • A lawyer who is secretly a vigilante working undercover.

Chosen logline and genre

I have chosen to create a teaser trailer in the genre form of Action / Thriller.

I have chosen against Horror and Sci-fi as I believe the Science fiction genre would be difficult to recreate and personally Horror films are not my cup of tea so I would not enjoy making a Horror film trailer.

I have discovered how these four techniques could be used in both photography and film to direct the viewer to a certain spot in the frame.

With the leading lines technique, I could possibly apply this to my teaser trailer when I film a shot including stairs. This will focus the viewer's attention on the character on the stairs and dissuade them from looking elsewhere.

music choice

There are a few websites that have royalty free music that I have searched for which include bensound.com freesound.org

There is also a website provided by the BBC which contains over 16,000 sound effects, which are BBC copyright, but may be used for personal, educational or research purposes. http://bbcsfx.acropolis.org.uk/?cat=libraries

Please see below a few tracks that I am considering using in my teaser trailer as non-diegetic music to enhance the atmosphere.

EvolutionBenjamin Tissot
00:00 / 02:45

Featuring an epic symphonic orchestra with drums, strings, brass and woodwinds mixed with synthetic instruments, this modern cinematic track is suitable for trailers, video games, showreels, action, sport and epic videos, YouTube, etc.

Extreme ActionBenjamin Tissot
00:00 / 08:03

Energetic & powerful electro-rock music. Great for action or for a sport video.
